Privacy policy

Only what you type or attach when you ask for a quote or a callback:

• your name, phone number and, if you give them, your email and street address and town;
• the service you need, your timeline, how you want us to contact you, and your message;
• photos or videos you choose to attach so we can see the job;
• the visit time you pick, if you book one;
• the page you sent the form from and the time you sent it.

We never sell, rent or trade your information. The site's hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to run and protect the site.

This site uses Google Analytics and Google's advertising measurement tags, which set cookies to count visits, see which pages are useful, and record when someone calls, emails or sends a request, so we can tell which of our listings and any future Google ads actually bring customers. Google may use this data to build audiences for showing CSM Electric ads to past visitors on Google and partner sites. What you type into our forms (your name, phone, email or address) is never sent to Google Analytics.

You can opt out with Google's Analytics opt-out add-on and turn off personalized ads in your Google ad settings. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Only to answer your request: to call, text or email you back, to prepare a quote, to schedule and do the work, and to keep a record of the job. If you give an email address we send you one confirmation that your request arrived.

Your request is passed through our automation server and stored in CSM Electric's own Google account: a row in a private Google Sheet, an email to our inbox, and, if you attached photos or videos, a private Google Drive folder for your request. None of it is public. Only our team can see it.

We keep job records for as long as we need them for the work, warranty and tax purposes. Ask us at any time to see, correct or delete your information and we will do it.

Our website automation connects to CSM Electric's own Google account through Google's OAuth, with these permissions only:

• Google Sheets: to add each new request as a row in CSM Electric's lead spreadsheet;
• Google Drive: to create a folder for each request and receive the photos and videos you upload into it;
• Google Calendar: to show which visit times are open and to hold the time you pick on our calendar until we confirm it;
• Gmail: to notify us of each new request and to send you a confirmation email from CSM Electric's address.

We do not read, collect or store data from any visitor's Google account; visitors never sign in with Google on this site. The Google data our tools handle is used only for the purposes above, is not shared with or sold to third parties, is not used for advertising, and is not used to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

This site is for homeowners and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
